My expat retirement support focuses on helping you understand what retirement means to you, and to redefine your life after your global career with an approach tailored to your specific needs, enabling you to imagine, design, and create a fulfilling life in retirement that you can look forward to.

I moved back to the UK after 35+ years overseas, unprepared for the challenges ahead and without a support network who understood that challenges.

My Background

My first job was in hotel representation, based in Sloane Square, London. From there, I moved to Anguilla, where I spent 7 years as Assistant General Manager of a luxury boutique resort, overseeing sales & marketing as well as operations. After a brief stint in the USA, I relocated to Bangkok to work with Amari Hotels & Resorts as Marketing Manager & Director of PR Communications. Several years later, I moved to Doha, Qatar, and then spent 13 happy years in Dubai running my own PR Consultancy. With over 35 years as a working expat, I have gained valuable insights into the lifestyle and challenges faced in the expat travel, tourism & hospitality sectors. Now back in the UK, I operate my own travel marketing consultancy, focusing on coaching for expats in their return home and retirement journeys, as well as providing expat retirement support and life planning for retirees.

My Lived Experience

Having experienced an unplanned return to the UK due to a failed marriage—primarily caused by a lack of communication regarding expectations as we approached our own retirement—I am acutely aware of the pitfalls, challenges, and hurdles busy professionals face as they hurtle towards retirement. Many ignore the reality that it is inevitable. This is where coaching for expats can play a vital role, providing essential expat retirement support and guidance. It's crucial to engage in life planning for retirees to navigate this transition effectively.
